It's how they are going to distract their base from noticing democrats not really doing much of anything for 4 years (or doing things just as bad as Trump). Gotta crank up the old primary machine by this summer and talk about who is going to run in 2024 for three years straight, wall to wall coverage on MSNBC and CNN.

Kamala Harris was polling behind Andrew Yang in California! Her home state where she was the sitting senator! Her suddenly rising to first in the polls just because Joe Biden picked her as vice president is the ultimate proof that liberal democracies are not democracies.

The United States has absolutely mastered the art of propaganda. This is a country where congress is regularly sitting at single digit approval rates, and yet when you ask people about their own congress person, they'll tell you they're doing a great job. Politics in the United States is just a nation wide game people play every couple years in order to feel like we're actually making important decisions. But the real important decisions have all already been made by the scumfuck billionaires that we are currently being propagandized into believing are kinda like Marvel superheroes. We just get to decide which mouthpiece will put those decisions into effect.

I will never take seriously a liberal harping on about how undemocratic communism is, and I am steaming mad that they had me fooled for as long as they did. Just tear all this shit down. Death to America.

It's funny, because I know a few Chinese-American voters who were incredibly excited to have an Asian-American on the ballot.

I knew exactly nobody excited by Harris. Bloomberg had more appeal.

That's far more a consequence of partisanship and posturing than propaganda. I know next to nothing about other people's reps. I know some stuff about my own rep. Dan Crenshaw preens like a fucking peacock at every chance he gets. His district is literally and deliberately packed with Republicans. So all he really has to do is showboat, pander to the right corporate interests, and clean up during election season.

If you ask people in TX-2 what they think of "Congress", they bitch and moan about how Other People's Congressmen aren't Dan Crenshaw. That's what drives the dichotomy.

I've met John Kerry twice at closed door events and, honestly, off-camera, he's just a colossal, self-centered, arrogant asshole.

I don't want to risk doxxing myself, so I can't be too detailed. But the first time I met him was at a expensive fundraiser, maybe 15 or 20 years ago. He was a Senator at the time. The fundraiser was for someone else, but he was supposed to be there helping shake hands and stuff as a favor to the other politician. As I recall, he showed up extremely late, glared at everyone, and left after about 15 minutes. On his way to leave, he bumped into a younger woman and spilled her drink. He didn't even turn his head to acknowledge her and just left.

The second time I met him was at a strategy meeting for something. He kept interrupting people in a way that suggested he hadn't even really been listening to them in the first place.

He's the sort of person who probably figured out his wife's net worth before he asked her name.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me.

          I don't think that's even a word.

Kerry was the proto Hillary and Biden. They had to really perfect their ineffectiveness. Centrist 2.0 (codename Hillary) improved on Kerrys uselessness but couldnt beat orangebot. Now with centrist 3.0 (codename Biden) they got their win and the perfect balance of doing nothing while pretending youre helping so people dont riot.
