For the record: Any podcast that claims to be "left-wing" in their politics and identity but actively has pirate feeds of their bonus content taken down are not actually leftist. Like, I totally get having a Patreon and making money to live off of/fund a podcast, that's fine by me (no ethical consumption under capitalism... etc) but if you're actively trying to restrict pirated access to said special content, rather than just letting it slide, then you're kinda shitty. Like, is it really so bad if a small subset of fans who don't/can't afford to pay for your content get access to the special, exclusive content? Are you not making enough money as is?
This isn't directed at any one podcast, and obviously we don't know who/what led to the takedown of the rss feeds, but I just thought this was a valid point worth sharing.
Is it a coincidence that on yesterday's episode of Bad Faith, Brie mentioned they were aware of people not paying for the premium episodes?

I would like to get them from at least two different sources (for certain services) to ensure any potential per-user watermarking is 100,% defeated.
I'll pay for any if necessary, but will likely need support from others to obtain at least two copies of each, defeat watermarking and potential correlation attacks inherent in rehosting multiple podcasts one is financially supporting which might use the same distribution service...
At the very least, we will rebuild with much more resilient and censorship-resistant infrastructure… I’ll just say that I have more expertise in this domain than almost anyone alive, except for some sysops of former darknet drug markets.
