how can they credibly claim to stand for human rights?
Yes Alexandria, how can they? Let’s follow that thought for a bit.

SHE'S GOOD AGAIN FOLKS
I'm at risk for simping right now, if she runs in 2024 I'm voting for her, I'm sorry hexbears
A big part of why the likes of AOC should get critical support is that they can be moved to better takes (like this) in a reasonable amount of time. That's night and day from your typical Democrat. They're not the ideal, and they have a long ways to go on a lot of issues, but they have some good positions right now and they can be moved to more.
Within the next month or so, somebody will do something like post a 10 second clip of her from a larger event, provide no context, attribute the worst motivation to her and say she should not be supported. A fair amount of the online left will agree completely, but then say how great she is because of something like this and the cycle will repeat.
She also can't? Or are we pretending that a single socdem (or a few of them, whatever) in the heart of the Empire is going to magically defeat it by sheer force of will and meme magic?
:large-adult-son: :large-adult-son: are counting on you, Miss Ocasio-Cortez! They're ready to do the fusion dance.
He's riffing on the Iraqi dinar bit from that one p*dcast or whatever.
Oh. I was quoting The Simpsons. It was the one where homer becomes the sanitation commissioner. Which is appropriate since they both involve trash and ending with white people moving into native lands.
Meanwhile, one congressional district over: https://twitter.com/thedailykoko/status/1393622316567961602?s=21
I was bummed she didn’t opt for city council this cycle but I know it takes a lot of energy. Probably why Tiffany Caban took a few cycles off I’m guessing. But Adolfo seems really good too.
