Some good old Pacific Northwest old growth forests. Sequoias, ferns, streams, moss. Or some good old Eastern Sierra pine forests. Anywhere high up in the mountains with plenty of pine trees and moisture. Lakes are a plus
A nice, cold forest and some nice plains and rivers mixed in. Like the kind land you find in New Zealand.
Edit: I think that is called a taiga biome
climate maps be colorin new zealand and china the same color. you may be a china stan :thonk:
Wetlands always look so cool to me, I just love the idea of sailing through grass.
Always wanted to live in the Tundra for a bit. Very cold. Very open. Very pretty. I've always thought living in a tiny cabin out in the tundra for a few weeks would be nice in an almost meditative way.
Sierra Nevada forests. My grandpa had a place up there so I’d spend a lot of time going there as a kid. Warm summers and snow in the winter. Had a lot of deer and turkeys just wander past the house so we’d have dried corn and seed to feed them. Really miss it.
Forests. It doesn't really matter what kind of forests. I guess I wouldn't want to be anywhere that only gets 3 months of notWinter, so that rules out taiga and whatever forests Canada has. Also I guess tropical rainforests would be too hot for me. The ideal forest, I think, would be some old growth forests in northern Europe. Temperate climate, winters aren't too harsh, summers aren't too hot. All the seasons are roughly equal length.
I truly love forests. I've spent my whole life near them, I love taking long walks among the trees, sometimes off the paths. Just hearing the wind whisper through the leaves, and the small sounds of many little creatures making their way through the world around me. It's very calming to me.
