I think MGRR is weirder. I can at least see how Caesar might fool someone into thinking he's not a criticism of their ideology (helps that I have a close friend who's leftist but thinks Caesar is preferable to the NCR an House).

But I can't IMAGINE looking at fucking Senator Armstrong being like "literally me" and not realizing he's a parody of your shitty ideology.

Wait, that was Fallout 3. All the 3D Fallouts might as well be the same game to me.

It's by far the least satisfying playthrough. When I did a Legion playthrough so I could see everything I made my headcannon to be that after I usurped Caesar I decreed that the Legion Be Normal. Basically same results as Yes Man but with probably an awkward internal civil war thing after and no robots.

A bunch of comments going "buddy you might be trans." Beyond the fallout nv meme like most of the things on this list either focused on girls, allow you to play as a girl or are games where you can basically ignore the protagonists gender. This would also explain the lack of The Witcher from someone with a polish flag in bio. trans-egg

Cyberpunk where you can make a female masculine voice character or a male feminine voice charecter have straight, gay, and bisexual relations is a...... pooh-wtf far right typed game.

The cyberpunk genre is pretty clearly a criticism of capitalism, but the main story in the game is basically a libertarians response to that, so they’re not totally off the mark.

pirated it since 2.0 and PL hit and you're pretty much spot on. "corporations are bad because they control everything, but not because capitalism itself is bad, i just want to blow shit up by myself"

Chuds liking fallout is proof no amount of subtext is enough for some people. You have to explicitly bash people over the head with your intended message if you dont want people to interpret it as exactly the opposite.

Fallout 3 has a 100 foot tall robot made by the US government that shoots lasers out of its eyes while screaming "I hate communism". A group of rogue soldiers with a technology fetish managed to take over this robot in a dramatic scene where said 100 foot tall robot stomps through the streets of the nuclear blasted ruins of Washington D.C. fighting off the remains of the federal government. Chuds unironically love liberty prime anyway. There is no bashing over the heads blatant enough for these people

I always liked how it says "death is preferable to communism" in a fucked up dead wasteland. Like, really? I think I'd take the communism over having my dick melt off because a nuclear automobile blew up during a gun fight over a can of chef boyardee.

Chuds couldn't read subtext if it was tattooed to their retinas.

plus MG:R pretty explicitly has the protagonist fighting against the US government and global imperialism. The first mission is trying to prevent a left of center African head of state from being assassinated!

This "joke" is touchy for me. My country went through suffering not too dissimilar from colonialism. No matter of my country being part of the imperial bloc now, I as a communist am proud of my fore-fathers resisting this oppression, and even helping Haiti win it's independence.

There was nothing good that came out of partitions, and even now today that period is being used and abused by our right wing propaganda to fuel xenophobia.

I find this "joke" reactionary and hope you can do better next time. You can be critical of Poland in other and more relevant ways, but this ain't it.

Thank you, I suggest reading Marx's and Engels's speeches on the 17th anniversary of the uprising of 1830.

Unfortunately they are no longer available on marxists.org

            https://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1847/12/09.htm#marx

            https://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1847/12/09.htm#engels

Best I can do now is make you photos of my copies I have in the first volume of their selected works. Unfortunately all's in Polish.

            Show

            Show

            Show

            Show

            Show

            Show

I hope some translation tool out there helps you with this, otherwise I wish you luck on finding something in English.

Edit: it seems it's all out of order... Fuck, I'm too lazy to fix it now.

Edit 2: Turns out I'm a tired idiot. The links aren't the speech I meant, the 17th anniversary of 1830 is the wrong one and the links should've pointed to the second anniversary of the Cracov uprising which is the one photographed. Apologies, will leave the links as they are though.

Really reaching for most of these but I can think up a few:

          • Hetero-normative relationships (if you're blind)
          • Everybody at the school is super rich (except Shirogane) and not vilified
          • Ethnically homogenous ("Japan is an ethnostate which is why it's based")
          • Shirogane is an example of just working hard being enough to succeed
          • Two (and maybe three now?) generations of Kashiwagi's boyfriend's family have married their high school gfs in shotgun weddings
          • Shirogane's mom leaving caused suffering to their family, and this chud interprets this as being against women's rights?

I think I can find counter points to every single one of this and I'm anime only.

I think the biggest counter point is Kaguya is very much a boss woman type, she is very much exactly the opposite of what chud and most weebs want.

Obviously its a gag comedy as well so of course she can be silly, but I don't believe for a second any chud would actualy enjoy having a relationship let alone being close to that type of person IRL.

To a certain extent this is true, but less so a political ideology and more "Isolated person who is terminally online" which happens to have a 1-1 overlap with both communists and fascists.

Let's be honest, well-adjusted people are not playing HellTaker and DDLC despite them being very good games. Most people play FO:NV once or twice and think it's pretty good. They don't install 500+ mods to try to escape from the meaninglessness of existing in a society in which you can neither influence nor find comfort in. It's just an unfortunate shared characteristic between us the far-right wing.

If most people on Hexbear had a safe existence, happy childhood, and meaningful social life then they would not be here.

It's "westerners as a group do not have the material basis to desire revolution because they live relatively comfortable lives so the people who disagree are isolated from society."

The only people for whom the violence and chaos of revolutionary war would be worth it are largely traumatized or marginalized individuals. It's why the vast majority of revolutions only happen in countries where the status quo was borderline hell. The idea that communists have better thoughts so they choose communism is pure liberal/idealistic ideology comrade.

Come to think of it, yeah.

I cannot believe I was ever actually afraid of these people. Maybe they're only a threat because they outnumber us by the millions (never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups), but individually they're losers. Even the stereotypical right-wing bodybuilder, I have a cousin that fits the bill but he's your run of the mill republican rather than an outright fash.

I don't think any of these games, except maybe EUIV, are in any way pro-fascist.

Though it's not like fascists would ever put in the effort to really make their own video games, that takes time, effort, skill and creativity, and if they had those they probably wouldn't be fascists.

    Persona 5

The villain of most of the game is a fascist strongman (and his closest supporters - explicitly portrayed as a collection of rich and powerful people) who schemes his way to power and gains support through a "We're gonna make Japan strong" plattform.

Shin Megami Tensei and Persona often have stinky politics, especially P4 and SMT IV, but P5 is definitely among the better ones, even if the ending to the vanilla plot is kinda meh.
