I think it would foster a more diverse community if we did that.

For privacy reasons I would prefer to post just my skull measurements and the RGB values of my forearms, forehead, and shins

This is the kind of go-getter attitude we need, joined 18 hours ago and already throwing ideas out there :xi-clap:

They're too new to be bothered by the aggressive modding or site culture. Surely they will speak on both soon.

for one you have security issues, which are obvious. but also, maybe race policing is actually really fucking gross and not cool, hot take

the way you foster diversity is with a curated safe space for all people to feel safe, not to get out the calipers and the brown paper bag to say who's really black enough

Seems like it would facilitate privacy/ doxxing issues, imo. On a place like blackpeopletwitter or other race-focused places it can make sense for keeping bad actors like white supremacists out, but not for a community like this where the whole point is just "be leftist".

Maybe if we had communities specifically for leftists of a particular identity and focusing on the specific concerns and struggles of those groups, maybe it would make some sense then, but that still seems kind of against the ethos of trans-racial solidarity over shared class struggle.

Pretty sure we do, c/transenby_liberation and /em_poc for example. It's still a terrible idea.
