Ive been using reddit for like over 10 years, and in the past year i got banned from virtually every major subreddit lol, even including big leftists ones. Reddit is an alright idea in theory, but moderators just being able to do whatever they want ruins it entirely. I also got a last warning from admins cause i posted a "death to america" comment lol

lol it certainly attracts the worst people somehow, but the idea that users just get to decide what should be seen and talked about certainly even now brings up to the front page good posts and news articles still

The only major sub I've been banned from is worldnews because I personally insulted someone who said the old man burning HK rioters were peaceful protestors, but I recently got a site wide suspension for a month old comment where I told someone not to post Tom Fowdy tweets because he was outed for soliciting child porn from a teenager on Twitter.

      Apparently somehow that's harassment.

Reddit fell when they bothsidesd the liberal subreddit r/Cth with the Donald.

there's only two things I like in Reddit:

    1 - niche and hobby subreddits, like /r/coffee, /r/roasting, /r/bodyweightfitness, /r/woodworking and so on

    2 - watching /r/brasil getting radicalized in real-time :sicko-blur:

everything else is pretty much milquetoast lib garbage at best, mask-off fascist at worse

and even the hobby subreddits can be hit or miss depending on how insular they act. r/collapse is absolutely blackpilled doomers but probably the most based leftist space left. although the ecofash are steadily increasing in number but generally get downvoted into oblivion.

I stuck around for hobbies and nerd stuff but even that has really lost its appeal. It's the same circle jerk all the time and no one has anything interesting to say.

Yeah they were "captured." They totally meant to create this free speech platform curated by users and not a giant fucking ad box that disguises manipulation as organic content. Some big bad evil thing made them take all that money and expand and take on investors. It totally wasn't several Sillicon Valley douches trying to figure out how to make money from the very beginning and then hiding behind their dead friend before staging a coup so they could cash in. Nope. Reddit was good, really. It was a noble website for noble free speech users such as myself who love democratic content.

It's so astroturfed at this point the only benefit of reddit is finding communities for obsucre things you might be into.

I wonder if some of those hack writers at like The Federalist are also like expected to go edit Wikipedia articles and/or post on reddit or some shit. Or maybe they've got a farm league of posters from which they call up the good ones to actually be published.

I actually didn't know this but it makes a fucking lot of sense considering how much Reddit in general has aligned with the Democratic Party ideological consensus, especially with how pro-imperialism, anti-Russia and anti-China the site has become. The whiplash is especially alarming if you were around between 2013-2016 when GamerGate started the reactionary wave that culminated in Trump.

For a long time the ideological bent of the site depended on the community, but in general over the course of the Trump era the liberals have absolutely become hegemonic site-wide, save for the islands of reaction that have yet to be banned and where the Trump cultists have fled, like /r/conservative or /r/jordanpeterson

Well yeah, republicans are all over the place and fuck things up in term of investment in pure finance. Tecb hate trade wars because software that's cloud based doesn't care where you are from as long as the check clears.

I used to go argue on /r/conservative around the trump inauguration. It was crazy to watch it go from the kinda conservative where they're a bit reactionary but mostly reaganite to full on trump chuds. They used to actually try to talk through their views and make conversation. Then they just got mad when you went away from the talking points. Then I got banned.

Why is my first reaction to this to assume that they're fash and whining about the CPC, (((globalists))), or both?

Oh it's because I've used reddit. Fuck.

edit: Okay maybe they aren't fash. Is that shirt leather or waxed cotton? Looks nice.

He's got a show called Redacted Tonight that goes out as a podcast. Before Covid he did it in front of an audience, and it's essentially the daily show but with actual intelligent and informed takes from a leftist perspective.

Lee Camp is fine. Better than Dore, IMO. In that he is both a relatively funny comedian, and that he never shilled for Tulsi.

Like if Hasan Minhaj was less charismatic, but also read theory.
