I definitely feel a lot cleaner walking out of a cold shower than a hot one. Plus it definitely has some benefits for my skin, I'm not breaking out as much as I usually do.

But also I've been sleeping better, taking one before bed helps a lot. Also taking one when I wake up has nearly eliminated my need for coffee in the morning. I even think I may have lost a pound or two, and I haven't changed my diet or work out routine at all.

Plus it's the best hangover cure. Used to take hot showers when I woke up hung over, but nah, jump in a cold one.

So I tried regularly taking cold showers because I've heard great things about it. After 2 weeks I started noticing some changes. My mind is more active and I don't get that morning drowsiness anymore. I used to feel like a zombie at work before noon, but that's all gone now. Another few weeks and my skin is now positively shining, people have even asked me if I use makeup! I felt like my body and mind had become sublimated, I started understanding difficult academic topics that I had previously struggled with and all but given up on. After a few months, I no longer needed to study at all, I could simply deduce the answer to any difficult topic. My muscles became perfectly sculpted like those of a Greek god, no longer hidden by excess fat. After little over a year, my hearing was sharp to the point that I could hear every movement of the bugs moving in the grass of a meadow. I no longer needed to sleep if I didn't want to. Food was now nothing but a worldly pleasure in which I indulged at a whim once every week or so. I could see time. Then I took a hot shower and it all went back to normal, but it was a pretty cool experiment.

Cold showers are great for my mental health, personally. I feel more awake after them, I feel more prepared to deal with anything unpleasant (I've already overcome the hurdle of cold water, after all), when I get out of the shower I feel relief because the air feels warm instead of how terrible and cold it feels when you're done with a hot shower, etc.

It's definitely good. Not ideal for every circumstance though.

I take hot showers, but always turn it cold at the very end. Good for closing up pores and idk, hair maybe? Bracing also, etc.

      :this:

I would die if I had to wash my body with cold water but after I finish that the last thing I do before hopping out is turn off the hot water and wash my hair/face. washing my hair with hot water means my curls are non-existent.

I did cold showers in the past and while I don't still do it, I think just learning how to have one is a worthwhile experience if you're able.

I experimented with this once and had a similar experience as what you describe. Then came winter and I gave up because landlord won't turn on the radiators. Also I don't really trust cold water to clean my nasty ass. Cavemen could probably get away with it but they didn't have millions of people grown infants living crammed in a tiny space?

Mao literally died because he underestimated the winter cold when there's no heating. Learn from history!

Throughout its four-season run, the show consistently drew low ratings while receiving rave reviews from critics and winning awards. It is one of the lowest-rated shows in television history to be renewed through four seasons by its parent network.[12][13] Despite this, the show has a notable cult following, with the cast selling out various live performances on a tour after the show's conclusion

Mood. In the hotass summer it makes you feel less like death, and i don't have central heating, so in the winter it lessens the blow of stepping back out into the cold. Truly a universal proletarian tool :stalin-feels-good:

I have pollen allergies so a hot shower is basically the only time I can breathe fully in the summer.
