IMO we ought to stop planting dedicated feed because that sort of farming so wasteful and harmful for the environment, but there's still room for animals in sustainable farming, whether as part of managing grass lands or pigs eating waste that's otherwise not useful.
Also goats, sheep, and chickens can be integrated such that not having them would be even more wasteful.
