Unless you're protesting something the state supports, then you're all good. Shutting down highways was a-ok when the anti-Cuban protestors did it a few weeks ago.

Where? I remember one that has the red levels blasted out that was clearly like a pile of shirts, but I don't remember seeing any with bodies that had been run over.

if you just google it you'll find some. I will give it to you that it's not actually easy to make out a person like in this one (EXTREMELY NSFW/NSFL) https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EZokXaxUMAAesn0?format=jpg&name=small but i'm pretty sure I can see an arm in there idk. also the picture could literally be from anywhere

There's also this one that I see sometimes which is very clearly blown out on the red channel.

Like I don't think tanks have bright red guns.

It's always impossible to tell what the hell you're looking at with these. Like it could just be garbage or foam that was used for firefighting that's tinted red then blown out to make it look more like blood.

There's also no backstory, context, or corroborating evidence for any of them.

(Updated link, the url had a 3 letter slur for gay in it and got removed lol)

yeah idk. I wanna be skeptical but i feel like a holocaust denier when talking about this shit. it's the same reason i don't ever mention the Uyghur stuff. Like it's not impossbile to me that china is doing that stuff and did do bad shit at Tiananmen square but there's also a huge incentive for western powers to make that up or exaggerate it.

FYI there are many accounts from journalists who were there that there was no violence at Tianenmen Square. There was violence between protestors and military in areas nearby, generally it seems it was started by protestors (egged on by their leaders who now live in the US :soviet-hmm: ) as initially the soldiers had no weapons. Idk if you knew that, just pointing it out.

Can you share a source on that? I'd love to shove it in my friend's face.

The key difference is "no backstory, context, or corroborating evidence" like with the Holocaust, there are museums and memorials and a large number of victims are known and their stories are known and the records exist. There are witnesses and survivors that prove that it happened and support the stories.

A single grainy photograph of red stuff on a WordPress blog with no context besides some random person claiming that it's people run over by tanks is not very compelling evidence of mass slaughter or anything.

The worst part is that there is ample evidence of conflict and death during the protests, there are videos and images of lynched PLA soldiers and it's known that there was open, armed, conflict all over the place outside the city and in some places inside the city. This situation is way different than mass slaughter of innocent people and peaceful demonstrators, but for some reason is entirely ignored by western accounts.
