I don't think any of the surrounding countries do apartheid or have miscegenation laws. How liberals can say it's the most progressive country in the region is bonkers. The closest thing I can point to is Saudi Arabia's genocide of Yemenis (Which is backed by America) and Turkey's genocide of Kurds (Turkey is in NATO).
