By "supply chain collapse" does he mean "multiple shipments of sex arses may be delayed", I wonder.
I'm also forced to wonder if the solution he's offering — increasing the labour supply — could possibly be related to some sort of profit motive...?
The UK imports 50% of its food, mostly by land...so, it's not great.
Sure, but he doesn't talk about the nature of the "collapse". And he's the only one talking about this.
I mean, I google "Britain Truck driver" and I get this https://www.theguardian.com/business/2021/aug/03/call-for-action-as-uk-driver-shortage-hits-supermarket-shelves
Yeah this seems like one of those situations where I'll believe it when I see it. Pushing stories like this might cause people to panic or become afraid which I'm sure is useful to those psychos over at the Behavioural Insights Team
Constantly in motion British Empire, escaping the sunlight like a goggle-wearing Vin Diesel.
Turns out having just-in-time logistics driven by profit-driven capitalists while also nuking all your trade agreements isn't a winning strategy :shocked-pikachu:
Oh wait, actually it's not, the trucks aren't running to bring it here.
UK Currently not as Fly as they like to imagin themselfs ...

I like this new "Accepting Realities" approch , a Colabse of the Supplychain have a Way of Making these new realities known far and wide.. ..
Isn't there enough rail (or canals, lol) in the UK to handle most of the supply chain?
I know trucks (lorries) need to do the last-mile delivery, but modern supply chains don't use trains for anything except freight, so those trucks are driving across the country/continent, rather than across town (from the nearest rail depot).
Idk, I tried to read the article but it wanted me to create an account.
Sry about that this one is not bricked https://www.fleetpoint.org/logistics/supply-chain/uk-supply-chain-faces-collapse-in-two-to-three-weeks/
