Reddit sinophobia is truly unhinged. Every China post has the same Social credit score/Xinnie the pooh/West Taiwan/Nazi Germany/Xianjiang jokes and lies repeated.
Then I realized they do this with every country that isn't white and Western, because even Japan gets mentions of ww2 and kawaii desu culture every time they get brought up.
Recent apple shit got me: each discussion was like - but what if you have winnie the tankman squared pictures on your phone. Mother fuckers, that’s your usa company doing it, in fucking usa exclusively, and likely to stop anti monopoly investigation, and yet it’s about china
Okay but see you need one good guy and one bad guy, that's how these things work. You can't have two bad guys! Then who would fight!?
Everything that's wrong with Japan is just america, but more honest with better food+cartoons! Screams into pillow while vastly oversimplifying
My dude it could have started in the Vatican and america would still be the plague captial of earth
Doesn't matter where it started; america fought hard to own it.land if the free, home of the fake mask and soon-to-be child corpse fire!
theres a ton of racism in the sort of common narratives that chinese people make bad quality junk, like most of the things in this room are probably made in china and theyre great products, wtf are ppl even talking about? ive been using some of these things for like a decade and theyre in perfect shape lol
I feel like there's some confirmation bias going on there maybe? Like every time you buy something cheap and it breaks fast you check and it's "Made in China". This just completely ignores the fact that literally everything is made in China now. :shrug-outta-hecks:
There was this user on the old sub who said that they don't want China to be a world power. They want socialism in the world but with the US leading it. Lmao.
There's definitely some stupid website that only provides Amazon links to products that say they're made in America, but this guy managed to be even stupider and not try to find it.
America believes in free markets
*Note: there are no free markets in America
