Hey, please take advantage of your current chonkiness to gain insane muscles mass by doing body weight training so that when you shed that fat you’ll look like a greek god.

If you are getting in shape for the first time be sure to hit some weight training if you aren't currently, you can build muscle while losing fat if you are a newbie
seems to be working great! but it's never too early to start pumping iron, adding muscle increases your bmr and helps you lose even more fat :soviet-chad:
and if you are worried about judgment all I can say is as someone who actually goes to the gym often there is nothing better to see there than someone learning and asking for advice :meow-bounce:
I've had some decent success building muscle just doing dumbbell exercises at home
I'm no expert and I mostly lift for the workout (Not necessarily the visible gains) but buying a medicine ball and doing bodyweight exercises with running when gyms were closed served me pretty well.
