How come managers at these places always seem to spell like shit? Makes it extra humiliating that some barely literate dipshit is running half your life.

Edit: sorry if that's elitist or ableist, it's just that it bothers me more than a lot of the other b.s. they make you put up with

People in positions of minor power are absolutely the laziest people under capitalism - the majority of landlords I've interacted with are absolutely terrible at spelling, despite the fact that almost every text-composing device has spell check.

It's because it's one of the few things many bosses/landlords need to be able to do and seeing them fuck it up over and over just reveals that meritocracy is a lie.

I find it hard to believe they'd have been able to turn off spell check, it's not that hard to see why the wavy red underline is happening even when you're so far off the mark it doesn't have suggestions for you lol. If it were a handwritten sign that would be one thing but when you know it's wrong and don't bother to fix it imo it's a different story

I’ve recently come around on the idea of not getting on someone about poor spelling since that’s how languages evolve from shit spelling (think ‘through’ versus ‘thru’ among others). On the other hand, ‘disaplicary’ doesn’t sound like the target word. In fact, it sounds like a negated ‘application’ which is kinda, sorta, if ones being generous, close to an idea of disciplinary action, maybe.

Really, if they are going to misspell, it should be ‘disiplinary’.

Because if they were actually smart, they'd be PMCs or big-time capitalists, not a low level manager at a place that needs all hands on deck on Labor Day.

I've work for a couple small and medium sized business owners who couldn't compose an email coherently to save their life. Most capitalist get there through inheritance, not ability.

I used to love working on holidays. Double time and a half, baby! And Labor Day is one of those holidays that can be skipped with no real loss. Christmas would be a different issue.

My issue is the disregard with which the manager treats the holiday and its history.

We have days for all sorts of holidays that favor the wealthy, but this is the only day that really venerates the working class for the contributions.

The conversion of the holiday into a forgettable shopping day is by design.

I'm gonna ask you to please dial it back at least 3 clicks. People are products of their material conditions, and this is what reeducation is for.

People are products of their material conditions, and this is what reeducation is for.

Yes that is true, but at the same time some form of justice needs to be served. We shouldn't apologize for the pigs of the ruling class because they do not grant us such mercy.

Furthermore, what I wrote is fundamentally meaningless because I am in position to change anything individually. Its cope. But I have freedom of speech on this platform therefore I exercise it for the sake of validation from other likeminded people. Nothing will come of it other than getting added to a watchlist but thats my problem, not yours.

I seriously doubt you're gonna get much validation for that. Torture, believe it or not, is both wrong and counterproductive.

The one other person who upbear'd it is enough validation for the dopamine to get going.

Also, whether torture is wrong/counterproductive or not doesn't matter because the sad reality (at least to me) is that neither of us are in a political party that is in the position to decide whether or not to torture or kill any members of the elite at this current moment in time. We are just sitting here and coping, this is cope.

This is the only place I can vent the sheer rage I feel at the disgusting slugs who dominate the world order. Negative consequences to this would be that this site would develop a more bloodthirsty cringe edgelord attitude if everyone acted like me, however, the beautiful thing is that I'm in the minority here and it probably won't happen.

However, I do recognize the possibility that what I type might be traumatic to those who have experienced such horrible violence irl. For their sake I indeed will tone things down, but never for the sake of the elite. Fuck them.
