as a spice aficionado, totally agreed with regards to capsaicin-related actual burny-burny spiciness, like it sucks for you if you can't tolerate it but it's not like that's a personal failing. If by spice you mean seasonings, though, that's a totally valid criticism of white people food (i.e. blandness). Like is it possible to cook something so properly that the flavors of the base food stand on its own? Varying degrees of yes. Would it be improved if you put like, even a single herb on it? Always
idk I kinda like very plain food sometimes. Even when the food itself isn't particularly flavorful or nice, I like very simple meals a lot of the time.
