One of them likes being held like a fuzzy baby, the other prefers to be slung over my shoulder like a sack of potatoes.
They're cats and only have three legs, so they don't really have much of an option if I decide to do that
One absolutely adores me and will put up with almost anything I do to him, the other is super tiny and only has one front arm so he can't really do much about it
The consent of those with less power than you should matter too
Which is also why they get put down when they're obviously unhappy with things.
They both despise being off the ground. One whimpers and the other hisses until they are put back on their own feet and it makes me big sad.

One of them acts like a snooty jerk, the other loves it. She’s “the cat who pets you back” because she’ll curl up in my lap and start pawing gently at my face. she’s super interested in my ears, and my chin whenever my hair grows back after shaving. this cat is too pure for this world I tell ya
