apparently Twitter is announcing a feature where you can make an NFT your profile picture, with its own "verified nft" icon next to it. i hope everyone who does it gets bullied

It's free fucking money, why wouldn't he do it? He has no union, no benefits, no contract that lasts more than a year or two. Essentially zero job security if things don't go well. He's a top player in one of the most dog-eat-dog capitalist environments, so don't be surprised when he tries to squeeze out an easy buck before the sparkle wears off.

Also it hardly exploits people, literally doesnt matter at all

I propose a rule, if you havent read at least 3 theory books you dont get to be mad about tweets or twitter articles.

        Also it hardly exploits people

it exploits a tiny fringe minority of people who just happen to be in the Venn diagram of "enough money to blow on NFTS", "stupid enough to buy an NFT", and "likes Lil Nas X enough to buy more than an album and tshirt">

If you've read 3+ theory books and you're still recreationally getting mad at tweets, clearly something isn't sticking

Old town road was already winning the lottery, He made enough money off of just that song to set him up, but I do understand trying to make money while he’s up. At this point tho, he’s at a level virtually no one gets to, I’d say he’s pretty secure

Tbh I don’t really get the extremes of this on either side. Like it’s not great. If it’s not good for crypto bros to use this tech it’s not good for nas even if “that new shit he dropped is fye.”

But it’s definitely not something I’d spend a lot of energy worrying about, most of the shit he does is funny and entertaining, he’s not a communist so i don’t expect him to act like one either, but it’s not really excusable, it’s just simply not good. Oh well. Nothing we can do about it :shrug-outta-hecks:

isńt it interesting how american ´leftists´ will adopt every hatred the right wing fosters but with the caveat that ´we hate for the right reasons!!11!1_´

and now, this rapper, cause he’s selling....nfts. i’m sure this dude didn’t even claim to be a Marxist but he’s gay so people are really desperate to target him with purity tests. fucking pathetic.

Stop liking people who don't post on bearsite daily. Then your favorites will stop being problematic. ... Well besides that time that video of @WhoaSlowDownMaurice proclaiming his support to Bidden showed up.

This guy is a poster person for recuperation. The rich love that he goes to a few protests and makes catchy art that "calls them out" or whatever, but that they can trust him enough to invite him to their fancy galas

I don't know what a Lil Nas X is, or an NFT. And I'm perfectly happy in my ignorance.
