Men will literally construct a network of colossal ring-shaped superweapons instead of going to therapy.
The US has seemingly infinite money for the military but the moment you ask about putting any amount of money toward the actual public good these same politicians start ranting about the national debt and taxes.
How does the average liberal in this country reconcile this? How are so many people still fooled by the "how are you gonna pay for it" argument?
It should be plain as day that the capability to satisfy the fundamental material needs of every person on Earth exists. So much so that it's maddening how everyone around us is constantly denying this extremely obvious truth. After a while you start thinking maybe you're the one that's misinformed. But that only lasts until another example of the depravity of capitalism comes to light and strengthens your resolve.
Liberals always accept the conservative or fascist framing of a given situation because they need to seem open minded and or accepting even if they disagree. So much to the point where they don't acknowledge that they've accepted it at all.

Capitalists spend billions of dollars per year ensuring that we are all bombarded with propaganda 24/7/365 to convince us that this bullshit is the only way human civilization could possibly.
Translation: we keep getting out asses kicked by farmers and ranchers. Our state of the art weapons are still no good so give us even more.
PS : we did not lose Vietnam. :uncle-ho-2:
"it will be just like video games"

The assault rifle from Halo canonically uses a bullet invented in 1954
Full support for the US military to move to vehicles that look like they should be ridden by TMNT action figures from circa 1991

I love how the guns are such an afterthought just slapped on top with a fucking snub barrel.
I mean, it makes sense as a video game vehicle balanced for the Halo sandbox but I still love how brazenly impractical it is.
In the Halo universe, a troop transport is when you can have two guys perilously hang off the sides of your single-occupant vehicle while holding guns https://i.pinimg.com/originals/6d/6f/c2/6d6fc27a1fbfc2f6414196cbe4b1965d.jpg
Oh buddy I used to be a pretty lethal Banshee pilot and didn't do too bad in the Hornet, yeah it's fine for the game. 👍
Also we can't go without pointing out that if the Hornet hovers for very long it's probably going to burn the passengers with the exhaust.
On the other hand, if it goes even moderately fast the guys holding on to the handles on the sides are going to be swept off
As someone with more Halo knowledge than I would like to admit, this pisses me off. The developers constantly bring up that humans are 500 years in the future and still shooting bullets instead of lasers, and that really it seems kinda backwards. Like, UNSC human weapons (with the exception of Gauss turrets) are basically identical to the weapons we already have.
Fuck this guy, he's a poser, not a g*mer.
I have questions about the potential use cases for a weapons system that wipes out all intelligent lives in a 10,000 light year radius.
wipes out all intelligent lives
Wow imagine a world where only Italian-Americans survive.
The US already tried this shit in the 90s. The OICW - Objective Infantry Combat Weapon was a 20mm programmable smart grenade launcher. The thing was stupid as all hell and was scrapped after 8 years of testing. They couldn't make the thing practical. Look at the controls :agony-consuming:
Imagine pulling out a fucking 150 page instruction manual in the middle of a firefight
High Explosives / Kinetic Energy, if anyone else was wondering. I think, anyway.
small government but also lets use billions of tax dollars to build weapons to murder people hell ya
Viagra has done more to delay the rise of fascism than we would like to give it credit for.
No I will not elaborate.
