This is my second attempt and I'm pretty proud of it. A little loose in the center but otherwise amazing.
Find some tempeh starter and soybeans (if you can find dehusked and split beans it will save you a lot of time and effort). Get some ziplock bags and a splash of vinegar. That's all you need!
Tempeh independence today! Free yourself from the health food store shackles!
IVE WANTED TO MAKE MY OWN TEMPEH FOREVER AND HAVENT GOTTEN AROUND TO ORDERING SOME STARTER. Fucking love tempeh

Fucking tempeh? Right?
You're abusing the power poster signal :data-laughing:
But for real tempah look delish
The store stuff tastes like kinda like pork butnive also found out you can make it with any kind of bean not just soy, so I wanna try doing them with other beans too. Black bean tempeh is my genius idea right now. Pretty sure it would make a nice shaved steak analogue. It's also super healthy.
Have you had tempeh? This is a genuine call to action. It's really tasty
Based based based
I've never tried this, but I'll try to get what I need this week and make it this weekend :vegan-seitan:
while we're on the subject, why is soy such a particularly core food? it's always seemed kind of random to me, but it's one of the biggest and most important crops in the world and it's in SO much stuff.
