Trump has zero chance imo. He's too much of a threat to the establishment bc he's rogue, they thought it could be wielded but he's too unpredictable and impulsive.

they'll deplatform him Bernie style by throwing literally any other name out until something sticks.

That’s part of why they like him

Unlike libs the republican base loathes the establishment. The more they treat him unfairly the better he will do

I really want to see if there were any secret think tank meetings among the bourgeoisie about if they could harness the power of the hogs to make money. I think maybe up until early 2018 they thought maga chuds could be pointed in a useful direction, then probably gave up once it became clear it wasn't working out. Probably around the time they saw Qanon stuff getting popular.

I don't know if I'd call the hogs a threat to anyone now, but they certainly aren't a predictable social element and aren't particularly good at anything other than clicking like on insane right-wing Facebook pages. January 6th has made them basically an anathema among the DC beltway lanyard folks.

I think it's less that Trump's rogue and more that he's not useful. He doesn't even hold that tight of a popular sway among his target goldfish brained audience. They like the idea of him more than the actual person. They don't actually listen to him or do the things he says, they follow along with what they think he's saying. Remember when they booed him last month because he recommended getting vaccinated?

Nah, the Dems gotta run badass girl boss Kamala I think? She could just make The Office style looks into the camera and smirk at the debates.

Also, I'm pretty mad at you for making me think about the fuckin presidential election already. Pretty sure I'm gonna cancel the wifi at my house for like 18 months to avoid all this meaningless shit.

"by god could my dad could drive a car" I come back to that bit all the time. We're not trapped in the realm these people think is real, we're trapped in the halcyon memory of how they imagined it. It's just nostalgia all the way down until it annihilates reality. The nostalgia of the gerontocracy is the the closest we will ever get to them admitting we're on a decline.

So Biden is the "most progressive" candidate? Fuck off and fuck you. Interrogate this concept for just a minute further. Every president should be the most progressive up to their point because the alternative is regression. Fucking dumb fuck american exceptionalism convincing people they live outside of time.

Time moves in one direction, you motherfuckers. Circumstances for the working people either get better or it gets worse. This is why centrists are such bullshit peddlers.

Didn't Biden explicitly say he wasn't gonna run for a second term. I mean, I didn't believe that for a second, but still...

Isn't it funny how octogenarians are generally seen as unemployable due to their declining mental state, as well as their health, and yet our country is almost certainly going to be run by them for the foreseeable future?

Senility didn't collapse the usa in the 80s, but maybe the first punch weakened things enough for the second to work

Honestly interested who will be tasked to be Trump's VP. They don't need another evangelical on his ticket, and the neocon holdouts will be forced to bend the knee with zero concessions anyway. Will they pick a true believer like MJT? Or just put Junior in the role?
