That's a curious detail that virtually all media left out of the Elizabeth Holmes story.
There's this part in the book Where George Shultz grandson (a primary source for the book) is working at Theranos (Shultz and Henry Kissinger we're both on the board). Anyway the former Secretary of State asks his grandson to compose Liz a birthday song. He does it and performs it at a birthday party Shultz through for her. When Kissinger shows up he has to play it again. I hope to God this is in Adam McKay's Theranos movie.
This is so bizarre. Did Holmes outgrift all these ghouls, or were they just unable to resist such a delicious white collar theft opportunity and they were all in on it together? I suppose another possibility is that despite they're alleged mastery of matters such as econ 101, they're all absolute idiots.

I think how alive he gets out of this is probably going to depend on how much he follows the instructions of the government. If he starts fucking around with the housing to try to keep money, I wouldn't be surprised to see him imprisoned or executed.

As a non-American too caught up and knowledgeable in the minutiae of your decadent, failing nation and culture (I'm from a country very much affected by American domestic and foreign policy), America watching leads to despair, blackpilling and doomposting.
