I'm AMAB cishet, but I've been struggling with understanding my gender vs my sex. I'm very comfortable with my body, including by sexual characteristics, but have never felt a strong affinity to the male gender. Is there a term for this? Everything I look up includes some kind of body dysphoria, which is not something I relate to.

You might be experiencing social dysphoria or profound discomfort with patriarchy. We live in a violent, anti-woman society where men are expected to dominate and violate women. Even if you are happy being in a "male" body, you might not be happy with the role and expectations of being a "man".

Reinforcing my pet theory that way more people are agender/nonbinary than binary.

Yeah if binary gender wasn't taught and enforced, I'm sure most people would feel this way.

there's a lot of words for that! You can def start by googling agender, demiboy/demiman, and of course non-binary, and probably some others that pop up adjacent to those, and reading up on definitions and especially individual experiences and accounts. I don't have any specific readings off the dome but I'm also happy to answer questions as an AMAB enby

Adding a different angle to the other answers: it would probably be interesting to you to also try and understand what masculinity even is in our society. For most men, traditional masculinity is toxic and hollowing of the self, so it's no wonder more and more men don't identify with it.

I really liked this video about this topic, if you have the time.
