I mean I'd break up with someone for what he's describing in the post. Making me scared for my life just to score points like that is psycho shit

You are one spin of the tindr wheel away from finding yourself in an escape room but real.

Oh I agree. There probably is no more sickly sweet rush than accidentally killing a theater kid with the chainsaw he accidentally made it more dangerous instead of turning it into a prop.

You at once know that you were in danger all night and didn't know, but then you dodged a bullet and crossed a line into a new and terrifying relm of human experience.

Larps are the epitome of "the odds are good but the goods are odd". For men if you have any hygeine skills, are even moderately attractive (and this is optional) and can carry a conversation your odds are very good. If you could in any sense be described as a woman all you need is a pulse and you can have your pick of nerds.

        Hygiene - yes.

Moderately attractive? Questionable but I'm feeling good about my odds.

        Where do I sign up?

In the US you're looking for Amtgard, Hearthfire, SCA, Nero, and there's a post apocalypse one I can't remember. Amtgard and Hearthfire are relatively easy to get in to, you need about 100$ for a sword and a tunic and they focus heavily on fighting. The SCA requires big kid money if you want to fight, but they have lots of non-fighting options too. Nero I'm less sure of. Avoid Dagorhir, it's a fucking trash fire.

You know how for a while escape rooms really blurred the line between BDSM and puzzle theater? I feel like this is the maximalist form of thst position.

Here is some fun done in good faith, that you might not like and wouldn't concent to. Which is even giving him that this was done in good faith as it probably wasn't.

So this is why the idea of doing one always made me slightly uncomfortable

I knew someone who was big in the scene and it was a weird mix of people doing unethical and damgerous stunts, bdsm, and theater kids.

I heared of one that did a fake kidnapping and the cops raided them thinking it was real kidnaping. There could easily have been multiple fatalities there since they didn't get permits or warn people.

I've never done one because it sounded like a great way to have a panic attack and i feel vindicated

What would I do if someone committed conspiracy to assault against me...hmm I am generally against calling the cops on people, but on the other hand I'm also very petty...

Does anyone actually do this? I thought it was only done sincerely in bad romantic comedies and otherwise made fun of in basically everything else.

honestly if your boyfriend thinks he has to stage a robbery to salvage your relationship you might as well give up while you're ahead

This is one of the reasons I think I'm going to be single until I die. What the fuck even is dating? How do people willingly put themselves through this? It seems like absolute hell.

Imagine if she's actually a lot tougher than he anticipated, or she has a weapon and she kills or seriously injures his friend...
