Chuds were crying over Trump losing, now they're gloating over Rittenhouse being white teen OJ, and not long from now they'll be crying again after a videogame character kneels for the anthem or something.
And so on

and so on
while everything just continues to decline and get worse.
It's the same in other countries as well. Culture war bullshit sucks all the air out of political discourse and suffocates big important topics. Some of the stuff is completely pointless, like chuds getting mad about kneeling football players, other things do lots of harm, like racism or transphobia. All of these things have one thing in common though: They don't challenge bourgeois rule the slightest and doesn't inconvenience the oligarchs who own the world.
If we were to spend time dealing with real and serious stuff like climate change, imperialism or economic justice it would mean radical changes.
In a democracy, uninformed/misinformed citizens are asked to make important decisions for society and shoulder the blame for bad outcomes as the news reports only on spectacle every day.
