This is why I havn't made anything worth watching for 16 years, its those damn phones! Before phones, people could sit and watch my 4 hour cut of Kingdom of Heaven, after phones they're out here complaining that Prometheus is confusing and doesn't make sense!

I'm pretty sure I read the book when it came out... maybe I'll pirate the movie!

Prometheus was so so so bad. I still remember all of the comically bad decisions the characters made. Especially Charlize running in a straight line as a metal donut rolled towards her.

The crazy long cut of KoH IS a dramatic improvement over the theatrical release

evil bastards also taught him to be his own harshest critic. fucking twisted, damn

I learned very early on to be your own critic. The only thing you should really have an opinion on is what you just did. Walk away. Make sure you’re happy. And don’t look back. That’s me

“This is a broad stroke, but I think we’re dealing with it right now with Facebook,” Scott added. “This is a misdirection that has happened where it’s given the wrong kind of confidence to this latest generation, I think.”

That's literally your fucking generation you idiet!

Almost all Gen Xers and Boomers are just as "bad" when it comes to being on the phone too much and no one ever criticises them.

If House of Gucci bombs too - Scott might blame them next week.

It's like $80 for a movie ticket and we're all stuck making jack shit per hour and under crushing debt from a useless degree or medical bills.

But tell me more how it's a cellphone's faults nobody went to see your movie during a pandemic.

I only ever saw like 2 bus ads and 2 billboards for it in the "movie capital in the world".

I miss the $1 show. I could just wait a month and see all the hits in the comfort of a 50 year old cinema with a decent arcade. They tore it down to build condos. They never built the condos. :doomjak:

It's not actually $80. I do that AMC thing that's $20 a month for up to 3 movies a week but tickets on their own around me are about that price.

    Older millennials are forty.

We're all also broke, stressed out, and overworked. Why am I going to spend my one day off during a pandemic to go to a theater with people who are taking off their masks?

For a generation that pushes personal responsibility, boomers sure are bad at it.

That's the problem, kids these days spend all day plugged into they dang synaptic uplink instead of watching albinoblacksheep on the phone.

Ridley Scott's special ability is to have made like 4000 movies but people only remember like 5 good ones.
