"Stuck in the 400's" has this kind of implication of negative, dehumanizing primitiveness that doesn't sit right with me. Yes, they've done some bad very things that run counter to the development of socialism in the area, but it's better to criticize them for that specifically as opposed writing them off as uncivilized, which has a racist undertone. I don't mean to start any struggle, maybe I'm wrong. I just thought I'd say something.

It's actually from Rambo 3 and is a common "Mandela Effect" recollection. The dedication was actually "This film is dedicated to the gallant people of Afghanistan". Original reviews of the film at the time explicitly allude to it.
How can I be expected to remember what right wing puff piece action movie said what praise.
