We need to seriously discuss mass re-education. Giving a person with this level of brain rot any political power -- even a single vote -- is a failure of liberal democracy.
The politically uneducated: they just haven't received the type of education that allows them to call out bullshit propaganda as bullshit propaganda. Note that this can apply to someone who hasn't finished high school as much as it can apply to someone with a grad degree.
The people who just don't give a fuck about human life: unless it's a friend or family member, they'll gladly trade human suffering for money. They'll butcher countless faceless foreigners to maintain their current standard of living.

Group 1 is the easiest to work with, and (hopefully) the most common.
I think 1., as in people to politically uneducated to understand populist scapegoats, overlaps a lot with 2. in form of people that dont want to understand what the real reasons for the problems are, because its just easier for them to follow this bullshit.
And 3. imo is really widespread in form of the following of celebrities, that may be good at something, but dont know shit about anything else, but still get seen as a kind of messias
The average reactionary crank enabled Republicans to obstruct any real climate change action for the past 30 years. Imagine where we'd be on probably the most important issue in the world if H.W. Bush and the ~1990-vintage GOP didn't turn carbon emissions into a partisan issue. And don't get me wrong, Democrats are weak on climate change, too -- but part of the reason they can be weak and still get elected is because Republicans are so much fucking worse.
More immediately, the average reactionary crank is either cheering on or tacitly approving of the police state going full fascist.
We rip on libs plenty, and every bit of it is deserved, but don't forget how harmful right-wingers are.

My point is that you don't nessesary need to put those kinds of people into camps or whatever. You just don't give them any power, tell them to shut up about their reactionary bullshit and wast majority of them would be too cowardly to cause any trouble.

I was going to say, if you control the media, the books, the schools, it only takes a decade to teach everyone to forget the stupid bullshit. the problem is actually getting control of those things while everyone screams about free speech.

I'm sorry, that's mean, there are uneducated people who are decent human beings that didn't have an education and don't deserve that comparison.
There are at least three groups here:
