It overwhelming passed, cause of course. Without any debate really. Compared to the quarter of the amount of money they took months to negotiate with the infrastructure it's just so absurd-- infuriating actually.

Always find it interesting how the military budget is given as a yearly total while anything good like the infrastructure or BBB plan are given in 10 year figures.
This is an $8 Trillion military budget and they just denied even half that for literally maintaining the fucking roads.
Love how our interstate highway system was built for military transport and civilian use was an afterthought and now we won't even spend money on infrastructure because the US is hollowing itself out blowing all the ill gotten gains of the first world on military contractors that basically amount to MLM schemes at this point and now we've just got a metaphorical garage full of worthless shit that we have no real use for except to pawn it off on other members of our crumbling empire.
The money going into the nuclear program is fucking scary.
The US is the most likely country to do the nuclear Holocaust thing. Capitalism being the death cult it is could be looking for a way to take as many out with it as it can.
It's the end times baby. John the Revelator
Don't worry, the free world has hypersonic missiles and nukes of their own to take out rogue states like USA before they become a threat.
The free world also has no first use though. So not before, but after.
China is pushing America into spending itself to death. How ironic.
The 2021 NDAA appropriates 5 million dollars to investigate "Havana syndrome"
Also it mentions "China" 166 times, which tells you exactly why it passed despite the ending of the War in Afghanistan.
I had someone argue with me on Reddit that this is actually a good thing because Biden increased the budget by less than other presidents so this is technically progress.
How much money will it take for the military budget to loop back around to zero?
Well, 2^32 = 4,294,967,296, which means that if the maximum were 32 bits then they'd have hit it by now.
That implies 64 bits, meaning a maximum of... Oh. Oh god.
18,446,744,073,709,551,616
A factory reset would be more advised at this point.
I mean, most language's unsigned long types only go up to 32 bits.
I'm pretty sure the military budget is stored in a MATLAB custom implementation of BigInteger they paid a military contractor a several million dollar a year subscription fee for the privilege of using.
I like how even from a jingoistic perspective, nobody can ever seem to consider that maybe lack of money isn't the reason our military hasn't actually won a war in decades of fighting much poorer countries.
Why would you look at it, newspapers said it was Must-Pass, it probably does something like solve child poverty right /s
Defense posturing is more important now that ever for the Amerikkkan empire. Without the ability to continue oppression and imperialism through monetary policy (when and if the IMF and the world bank can't turn a profit anymore), the final form of imperialism is going to be barbaric on a level we have never seen before, I am sure of it.
Yes they did look, they just don't care, because in their totality they are OUR enemy and what benefits them and their cause is what we fight against
Didn't the pentagon get a couple trillion dollars for doing 9/11? What the fuck are they doing with all that money???
they couldn’t account for billions
I have a bridge to sell you :capitalist-laugh:
You could very well be right I just thought this was a funny thing to say I'm sorry comrade
If I had a psychopathic will to power, my lazy ass would still run out of schemes before I spent 21T
