I think incompetence is the most likely explanation, but it would be extremely based if they were actually double agents this whole time

If it's double agents it means we're back to early 1900s levels of union basedness. Only a matter of time until there's armed confrontations.

Why do you think Hollywood is making movies glorifying Pinkerton agents?

The resurgence of support for unions these past few months is pretty fucking unprecedented (especially in this century). This will all lead to a huge movement in support for actual socialism, not just demsoc shit (hopefully). This is a pivotal moment for socialist orgs to grow in numbers and reach.

This also shows just how important agitation is, in regards to r/antiwork. For the past year that the sub was steadily growing in popularity, the majority of posts were either photos of shitty things a person's boss texted them or posted on some board in the lunch room. Because of this, the sub gained more and more participants, expanding class consciousness and exploding in subscribers. Now we see this consciousness in mass action. Even if a lot of the text chains and shit on the sub were fake, it greatly expanded class consciousness and agitated workers incredibly successfully.

I think the next logical step is to spread MLM theory and use this as a platform to build a Marxist-Leninist base. Of course, worker movement towards the left under capitalism tends to be met with fascism, so we also need to prepared for that (in fact, I wonder if Amazon forcing their workers into the factory during the tornado might be a response to the Kellogg stuff, like a show of strength, combined with the usual exploitation and disregard of workers' lives).

Hopefully it's a natural progression. Especially since capitalism tends to heighten exploitation as a result of worker gains, only leading to more resistance and more people swearing to dismantle it. That's not to say that we can just sit back and not agitate, this is an important time to spread theory and practical applications of said theory. Who knows, we'll see.

When you skin your knee and it scabs over, but then any bending of the joint causes tension that reopens the wound.
