this was what I'd do when I was working fast-food, I watched some series of lecture before work;; I clearly don't remember a lot of it, what it was about precisely and such, but I like to think I passively assimilated some of it along the way, it's just that I can't verbalize it eloquently
robert paul wolffe ideological critique , stuff about epistemology and stuff?? I liked it I think, I remember being like "damn that's a hell of a good point"
rick roderick, self under siege, some philosophy stuff, didn't really like it tho
i'd like you to contribute, add some of your stuff, doesn't have to be similar to the two I linked, really, as long as you liked it,
not really a youtube lecture, seeing as Im looking for youtube lectures specifically, but I did find some david harvey lectures on soulseek, about reading das kapital, that's what I'd listen to after listeining to a few chapters of kapital, alas I didn't manage to break through chapter 4, but his lecture really helped
if you want them, download soulseek, really easy to use, and useful
if you want them but don't want to use soulseek, pm
I saw this one linked around in the early days of the discord server. It's good and full real life examples that will make sure you learn the lesson: don't trust cops
I love the bit at the beginning of the detective's lecture when he asks the class "Anybody drive at home and go above 55 on the interstate?" and the prof yells out off-screen:
"What are you raising your hands for!? I told you don't talk to the police!"
The best youtube ever that should be required viewing for literally every American at least once a year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-7o9xYp7eE
It's titled "don't talk to police" and if you watch it and have half a brain cell you will never talk to police for any reason whatsoever.

The below playlist by comrade spooky scary socialist has a bunch of parenti talks, and my personal favorite 2 are at the top. Highly recommended. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL_iYfBlflip57tLSR3VXepi5dNJR7qUot

Human Behavioral Biology with Prof. Robert Sapolsky at Stanford University
fascinating presentation, and the professor sneaks in favorable references to Marxism here and there
https://youtu.be/NcXPVRGWiTM - I am currently binging the lectures on Designing Freedom by Stafford Beer. On one hand it is a really interesting topic. On the other his voice is so good its hard to focus on what he is saying...
I see you mentioned Rick Roderick and I personally loved it. My faves were when he used, similar to zizek, movie examples here and there to make it click for me. Can I ask what was turning you off?
I also enjoyed this lecture on social constructivism: https://youtu.be/-AsKFFX9Ib0
idk, I think the last lecture I watched, he started talking about death being the only democratic institution or something and then he lost me, was not in the right vibe for it, i feel like I don't even enjoy philosophy all that much, it has to be about something else primarily, or else I lose interest
maybe I'll give it another try evetually idk
