Do you remember the ecstasy of eating the entire lie, wholeheartedly, eyes wide shut?

No, but what I do remember is a lot of "I know things aren't going to get better, but we should be allowed to celebrate that things aren't going to get worse."

America, Land of Mediocrity, where spelling doesn't count, but your pets do.

I remember them being like "You don't have to like it, just do it" which is what most of the people I know who voted for Biden did

Nobody was excited except the ghouls and the turbolibs

My inconsiderate (for lots of reasons) upstairs neighbor ran barefoot down a November street yelling "IT'S OVER! IT'S OVER! TRUMP IS GONE!"

And with that election, a mighty cheer rose up from the people of the United States

They had banished that awful Trump forever, because he was rude

Now let's all celebrate with a crisp, cool glass of turnip juice

It was the happiest day of my life. I remember walking into the polling station with a “FUCK TRUMP” shirt and watching all the conservatives cry. Then I went into the polling booth, and as soon as I voted in Biden I came all over the machine knowing how much I OWNED Trump. Every surface of my house is covered in Joe Biden wallpaper, my children included. I had to pull them out of school because the MAGA teacher had a problem with them only knowing the words in Biden’s speeches, most of which were “meaningless.” I’ll do whatever I can to save democracy. I went to the Capitol building on January 6th to fend off the FASCIST insurrectionists who almost stole the American Dream. But, heh, we know how that went. Four more years of DEMOCRACY and CIVILITY are coming!

Unrealistic. Libs were shocked and completely surprised by it despite it openly being planned on the internet.

For you Biden's election win was the most ecstatic moment of your life.

    For me, it was Wednesday.

I know it has been said time and time again but this fucking movie had no right dropping one of the hardest lines in cinema history.

One of the biggest critiques leftists and anti communists have for various socialist governments is that the leader stays in power past anyone’s approval and without training successors, so that leaves room for a power struggle between various factions

Here we have Biden refusing to let go or even supporting any successor who can speak competently or more popular with voters. And this is under what liberals call a transparent, democratic, free country. Their own party members are silenced because for whatever reason, Biden must win both terms. Biden’s legacy and ego are more important. Tens of millions of democrats, and only Biden meets the criteria to lead a country. Incredible.

ruthkanda-forever Someone doing incredible damage by clinging to power for egoistic reasons rather than doing the politically strategic thing? Couldn't be the democrats lol

No, but he's popular with the right people. So that makes it ok, Biden 2024 and 2028! Biden's mummified corpse for President 2032! We don't want to be like those damn commies with their cult of personality! We want real leadership we can trust!

        cult of personality

Always one of my favorite accusations given that a substantial portion of the US electorate votes on the "who would I rather have a beer with" index.

Fidel should have run for president he would win this index against every single historical president.

It's kind of sad really, they're so used to their government not giving a shit about people and only pay lip service to problems that they legitimately cannot imagine a leader deserving the adoration they get. They assume anyone who likes the leader of another country must be "brainwashed" in some way, because the idea of a leader being good at running a country is inconceivable to them.

Though Fetterman is a Zionist piece of shit, he’s literally one of the few politicians, maybe only, who literally dresses like someone you could have a beer with. And republicans and democrats trashed him for that because he looked too poor and raggedy and disrespected da institutions

I literally woke up that day to people woo-ing out their windows. I lived in a very lib part of a very lib city. I can understand being happy Trump was defeated, but like lol look who's replaced him, another ghoul.

And I still don't forgive those same hooting rASScals for producing the most annoying sounds every night at .. 8? to, uh, honor the healthcare workers with screaming and banging pots and pans, which surely filled their hearts with joy and did NOT upset my roommate's dog, putting those more musically inclined it*lians to shame for their lackluster songs of beauty and solidarity

I remember my boss at work telling me they were at a restaurant that erupted into celebration and popping champagne bottles and were so happy about it and asked me if I was happy too and I couldn't help but just saying, "Meh." The fucking look of shock and disgust on their face.

It really didn't help my working conditions. I should have lied. Libs...

The Soviet workers had a saying, completely peculiar to their culture and representative of the pathology of socialism, "Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss."
