Besides :LIB: firsts for the record book, what does she do? Vice presidents aren't automatically useless; Dick Cheney ran the empire for a while for example.

Biden's brain is obviously soup at this point, so she's possibly the actual president.

The US vice president breaks ties when the Senate is split 50-50

No. Furthermore, the Senate has decided that it requires a supermajority to actually pass most legislation with the exception being reconciliation bills, so in most situations where a tie occurs in the senate the VP's deciding vote is meaningless, if I'm not mistaken.

YOU'VE GOT BIDEN LITERALLY JUST THREATEN THEM WITH ALL THE POWER THAT IMPLIES

YOU CAN GET THE TWO DEMS WHO WON'T COOPERATE TO DO SO

AND THEN USE THE TIEBREAKER ONCE THEY MAKE IT FIFTY

BUT OF COURSE THEM PROVIDING AN EXCUSE NOT TO DO THINGS IS THE FUCKING POINT

I knew this already. But in practice these are more like guidelines, especially when one compares and contrasts Dick Cheney with Mike Pence, or even :top-cop:

Having read through this thread, she is apparently both completely cut off from day to day operations and is also the secret shadow President running everything.

All I know is she doesn’t break ties in the Senate because that would be uncivil I guess

Yeah that's really it, Biden trots her out to do pointless controversial stuff like yell at immigrants.

That's the magic about her. Nobody knows. No one can say with any certainty. If your criticize her, you may be right, you may be wrong. Nobody can say for sure. She might do nothing, she might do everything.

If you oppose her, lord help you :top-cop:

She misdirects and absorbs part of the anger that the average citizen feels whenever the Biden administration fucks up yet another thing.
