True, but I just hate the "vote blue no matter where" crowd. Telling voters in New York and Texas to vote for Biden is total bullshit advice. People in safe states should be told to vote for the leftmost candidate possible at the presidential level or vote with their feet come the general if they are really so fucking scared.

Is anyone surprised by this? Contrqpoints has always been a liberal, I don't think she's even made an attempt to hide it or anything.

It's more people on left circles of the internet desperately hoping that she's not a lib.

Yeah her top comment on the AMA is literal great man theory. Like yeah organisers are important and vastly undervalued in modern movements, but they need a group of class and imperialist conscious people to actually, y'know, organise.

But does anyone expect anything different from liberals?

But in Natalie’s earlier work it was clear that contrapoints (a vaguely ultra left lib) was one political character, in a conversation with others (tabby, Justine, foppington, whatever her leather fash character was called)

Wonder what the "vote Biden for harm reduction" people are thinking now, with COVID 19 out of control, and no stimulus or vaccine mandate or lockdowns. And Republicans just taking away women's rights state by state.

Most of that battle with reproductive rights was lost by Trump appointing all those judges. They’ve been lining up these legal battles and stuffing judge positions with Federalist Society members for decades. If you wanna talk about political conspiracies and shady societies, I’d love to hear what mask-off conversations happen when Liz Warren’s old buddies spout off.

The idea that voting should be the principle way of interacting with your government is liberal brainworms regardless

Turns out when you give a reptile person adrenochrome they get stronger. Since the other Biden escaped, I’ve been hiding out in the white house air vents like I’m Sigourney Weaver in the first Alien movie. Already killed 72 lobbyists with trip wires and a homemade garrote (left it in water so it would get rusty).

Most of the battle with reproductive rights was lost when the liberals never once floated a single reproductive rights bill after the 1973 decision when they had the power to do so.

Hi Natalie, just wondering what you think has changed the most about your personal politics in the last 5 years or so?

In some ways I've moved further left as my preconceptions about what is politically possible in the US have expanded. In 2016 I was a Hillary supporter because I didn't think a candidate self-identifying as a "socialist" would have more than fringe appeal. That turned out to be wrong. I now think it's likely we will see major economic reform/restructuring sometime in my lifetime. In other ways I have become more pessimistic. The longevity of Trumpism, the mainstreaming of conspiracy theories, truth-indifference, and opposition to democracy in the Republican Party show that this country has real potential to sink lower than I previously imagined.
