"It wasn't technically slavery because they could have chosen to spend the month in solitary confinement instead, so it's voluntary. Besides, getting to work in a politician's manor is actually a huge honor for slaves I mean prisoners." - Every liberal when you bring this up.

she was just being a pragmatist and winning the most progress realistically possible for her constituents through her actions.

I think it's a bit of both, libs have been taking credit for socialist achievements forever (8 hour work week etc..) but I think they start to believe it after a while.

they think they know the right way forward, and anyone to the left of them is crazy/stupid. so therefore they are the most left, yet realistic heroes of all possible progress, and it is only people to the right of them that are the moderates in the way. couldn't be them. they are heroes and more importantly CORRECT in their own minds.

but that most people, also. pretty common human trait. lots of leftist infighting stems from exactly these ideas.

Hilary absolutely does think she's the hero and the most deserving. She has a very "it has to be me" mentality.

I want to remind you that this is the woman that said, specifically, "we need to take back the means of production" from China.

She knows EXACTLY what she is doing.

They are not incompetent people that see themselves as goodies. They are competent and well educated monsters.

This woman knows more communist theory than Vaush and half the left.

I think she knows exactly what she's talking about.

To this day one of the most theory-deep discussions I've ever had outside of well educated ML party members was with a Thatcherite that was completely class conscious, well read of marxist literature, and entirely self aware that they were a monster feeding off the proletariat.

I won't underestimate any of them.

Have you played Disco Elysium? Theres an uncanny resemblance of that to a character in the game you talk to that calls herself an ultraliberal, its a really weird conversation because she is so frank about her position in society and realizes her position with class politics, just in an evil way.

              Joyce is literally Thatcher.

But yes that was my experience with a Thatcherite I know that is active in politics.

Educated monsters and absolutely none of them should be underestimated. They are willing to lie and perform, even be "idiots" if necessary.

Republicans, having won a veto proof majority in the house and senate during the midterms, immediately pass an amendment and get it ratified by the states. Donald Trump becomes president again and the democrats do nothing but scream about how "ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES!!!"

...probably not..but man that'd be funny.

I called her losing to Trump a second time over a year ago, it's not a hard prediction. After seeing how delusional she was after she lost 2016, it's not really that surprising to assume she might do it again.

No, the real doomer idea is her actually winning against Trump in 2024. I'm gonna be honest, I have no idea how she could possibly pull it off without rigging the election, but 2016 was relatively close, so I guess it is theoretically possible... Imagine the smugness of the libs if that were to happen.

Hillary winning against Trump in 2024 is the darkest timeline and the worst possible outcome. So for this alone, it is guaranteed to happen.
