Posting under the “Noble Media Resource Channel” on Telegram, Proud Boys member Jeremy Bertino saluted Seagraves under his nickname, writing, “POYMFM ROOSTER.” “POYMFM” is an acronym for “proud of your mother f*cking boy.”
Dude's nickname was "Rooster." I think the Colonel got to him. :punished-bernie:
“proud of your mother f*cking boy.”
Is this generation of fascists more childish than the previous, or is it a case of :astronaut-2: :astronaut-1:
Fascist aesthetics play well in media because that’s basically what they were designed for. Watching people replicate that behavior in large numbers inspires horror and awe. Seeing a small number of college-age dudes doing it is objectively hilarious.
If anyone’s familiar with Doctor Who, I always think of the episode where some tech bro whiz kid builds some shit for the Sontarans (the
fascistwarrior race who look like humanoid potatoes) under some pretense that he’ll be exalted for his superiority as a human. And watching this gangly bio essentialist nerd play along with the Santaran chants is exactly how I love to see fascists: insecure individuals trying to reassure themselves with rituals about how badass they are.Don't they have a gang initiation where they list cereals as they're getting their asses beat?
This would be a really good Twitter bot, if I liked NLP I'd put one together to de-passive-voice headlines that reference cops
I was thinking I'd start with headlines from RSS news feeds, then maybe let people request by @-ing the bot with a headline
ngl, my first thought reading the headline was "Wait, why would the cops burn him alive for doxxing lefties?"
It sounds more like a suicide, dude ran off to isolate in their home after threatening their neighbors and then the fire started when police rolled up.
Do people never read what's posted?
Do people never read what’s posted?
that's expecting more from people than they are conditioned to in this day and age of constant momentum.
there's absolutely no way the reality is even remotely close as satisfying as the image I created in my head when I read the headline
why would I want to read the article? it will only make me feel worse, just let me live in blissful ignorance, not like any of this matters in any way
i remember seeing this guy on twitter. didn't expect this ending
