Yeah, I recognize that name just because of how many awful news stories it comes up in.
To be fair, Harris County is Houston, which is the most densely populated part of Texas. So it'll have the most news.
Wasn't there a really good quote about education not being liberatory thus making the oppressed into the oppressors?

But now little black girls have role models and can dream of growing up to become oppressors.
The systemic oppression within the Judicial system forces her to be extra brutal so she can rise the ranks and eventually help more people. 🙃
I remember meeting some of these candidates back in 2018, when reversing cash-bail policy was a popular platform in the Democratic Party.
