Absolutely not. This guy is a company man and will suck the US's dick all the way down its decline. Anyone who has any "concern" about Jan 6th or "accomplices in Congress" is a baby brain useful idiot with completey compromised judgement. This same person will tell you China's genocide of the Uyghurs.

Hard disagree. Ideology runs deep in the states and its no accident that the first thing that gets fed to you when you're fed up and start looking for political solutions to your daily woes is liberal media slop. I know plenty of people who are solid leftists now that started out buying into the whole russia gate nonsense and just through the process of encountering leftists ideas and continuously watching libs fall flat on their face managed to radicalize. The guy's already posting about worker's rights and is on the cusp of understanding that the libs they were scared for on Jan 6th are in on the whole thing too. Call me an optimist but I think a lot of these radlibs will radicalize as they see the norms and institutions they respect fail again and again to actually serve them. Which is to say the dialectic of materialism will negate out of them their liberal brainworms :brainworms:

I’m ashamed to admit that I was a Russiagate lib 😔 The lib media talked about it like it was fact, and I was a Pod Save listener at the time :bern-disgust: It was actually listening to the Chapo pod and finding the old subreddit that de:brainworms:ed me

Being concerned at all about this means you're an idiot who will lap up any bullshit you hear on the news, hook line and sinker. These are the people who whine about "tankies", deep throat US imperialism. They are counter productive because they whine about how they "want the same thing" and then constantly concern troll about supporting the Empire. They are your enemy.

Because anyone who thinks like the person in the OP is not open to radicalization, full stop. They are social fascists. Trying to reach out to libs like this is how you end up with Breadtube.

If people are curious and have questions, then we should absolutely guide them along. "Reaching out" just dilutes the movement with these idiot libs and gradually gets you into reddit tier "America is fundamentally good, Socialism is wen roads and libraries and unions" bullshit. This idiot who is "ripe for radicalization" is a straight up news fanboy, completely plugged into the spectacle, and people here are deluded enough to think he will turn into a tankie. That's how you end up with 2020 Bernie lmfao.

I can not wrap my head around why so many people on this site refuse to recognize that leftwards-running pipelines are real. Just as real as the reactionary pipelines we correctly decry. We absolutely have to reach out to libs like this. I'd go so far as to say it's the duty of any determined leftist to do so. As MaoistLandlord was saying, who the fuck here was not a lib at some point? The lib in OP is questioning the whole thing, they're starting to recognize the futility of voting which is actually a massive accomplishment for even a radlib.

And btw, while breadtube is full of cringe, it is absolutely a good thing. It is a stepping stone on the path towards actual radicalization.

                This from the fucking rooftops.

Breadtube may not ideologically align with the preferences of the revolutionary left. It still serves as a useful tool for us. It presents to people the first keys they need to get past their indoctrination. It gives them the tools for critical analysis that let them start to see the propaganda directed at them. There's still a lot of work left to do to get them out of their comfort zone, but for all the scorn directed at it, the one good thing to come out of Bernie 2020 is a wave of radicalization among his supporters. It serves as the single most powerful argument we have that, within the constraints of this tomb of a nation, there is nothing to be won without fundamental rupture. There are ways to move people past the belief that you can work within the system. We have those tools, but we need them to be ready to hear us, first.

An example of how pipelines can work? Yeah, I'd certainly say that it is. For me, this site is where the pipeline finally dropped me off with something of a consistent worldview.

Because the substance of where they are coming from is completely wrong. We should be welcoming to these people if they figure it out, but mass reaching out to people like this just gets you the DSA war contractor caucus or the CPUSA talking about how we need to make sure Democrats stay in power because of the "fascist threat" from the Republicans.

while breadtube is full of cringe, it is absolutely a good thing.

It's compromised by intelligence services. It's basically a pied piper.

                  It’s compromised by intelligence services.

It's funny you should mention that. Because if it wasn't for the many other comments I've seen from you that I have a lot of respect for, I would say that any so-called leftist agitating against reaching out to disillusioned libs is clearly :fedposting:

I mean seriously. That is like thee one path we have towards actually reaching the goals we're seeking. We have to do everything we can to educate and organize. And to cry out that doing that sort of thing is a waste of time, to act like working to shift people who are already at the left end of what's considered acceptable is a bad or foolish thing... well, that's just totally undermining what minuscule power we actually have as leftists. And it's ridiculous at face value. I would not want to be part of any leftist group or website where that was the consensus, as I would be convinced it was infested with 3-letter agencies.

And yeah, Hbomberguy, Philosophytube, even Shaun... they're all CIA agents, clearly.
(We need a good eye roll emoji btw)

Anyone who has any “concern” about Jan 6th or “accomplices in Congress” is a baby brain useful idiot

Jan 6th was the closest thing we've had in this country to a real in-your-face Fascist moment since the LAPD was caught on camera bludgeoning Rodney King. I don't think its fair to say liberals being shocked awake by the event makes them "baby brained". Just the contrary. Frustration at Team D's refusal to take Jan 6th seriously - by failing on shit like instituting DC statehood, defending voter rights in red states, actually prosecuting media and political figures who fanned the flames, and leveraging the powers of the state to push back - is absolutely radicalizing and eye-opening.

This same person will tell you China’s genocide of the Uyghurs.

Whether you believe in the Uyghur media-babble or not, there's virtually nothing anyone in the US government can really do about it except complain.

There are a host of policies Joe Biden could pursue right away, and Congress could have shoe-horned into must pass legislation, and state parties could be advancing in anticipation of mid-terms, that expand the capacity of liberals to organize, participate, and set future policies through electoral channels.

But if you have to bring up the Uyghurs, its worth noting that this is another thing Biden's basically failed on. Even if you say you care, he's not doing anything to stop this alleged genocide. No more than he's cooking up a cure for Havana Syndrome or building a missile dome to stop Crazy North Koreans from nuking us all.

Whatever you believe about world affairs, the Dem response has been to sit on their hands and complain about the Parliamentarian. They're clearly incapable of governing. And that alone is radicalizing.
