Names that really pique your interest or have some deeper meaning or just sound really cool.

For me, I like a lot of SMT/Persona titles, particularly - Nocturne's Japanese name, Lucifer's Call and the Persona 2 duology, Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment.

Were there any games you liked in part because of their title?

The Earth Dies Screaming is the most metal video game title I've ever heard, but sadly it's wasted on a mediocre Atari 2600 shooter

To just name some from my steam library:

    Disco Elysium

    Heaven Will Be Mine

    The House in Fata Morgana

    Hypnospace Outlaw

    A Little Lily Princess

    Lobotomy Corporation

    Planescape: Torment

    Return of the Obra Dinn

    Sayonara Wild Hearts

    Undefined Fantastic Object

    We Know the Devil

      Disco Elysium

Since we're discussing titles, the original title they almost went with was No Truce With The Furies. What do you think of that name?

Eastward - Which way western man?

Final Liberation - Liked it when I was younger

Jet Set Radio Future -I can have little a word salad, as a treat.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Do I know what the acronym means, no. Is it almost certainly ham-fisted to make the acronym cool, yes. Do I care, no.

Psychonauts - Is cool sounding and thematic.

Firewatch - sounds good and very to the point.

The acronym S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is a list of the types of people living in the zone.

Scavengers, Trespassers, Adventurers, Loners, Killers, Explorers, Robbers.

    Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!

    Mike Tyson's

starting off with a person real name is a bold move
they are staking their whole video game reputation on this

    Punch-Out

you are not boxing you arent just doing a sport you are punching each other until someone is out & unconscious
this carries a lot of energy

    !!

1 exclamation mark would be normal 3 would be the regular exaggeration picking 2 is another bold move that makes this title confident in its own identity and uniqueness
strong choices from start to finish

Metal Gear Rising: Revengance. Also always found Simcity 3000 real funny because they just kept going with the numerical order established by Simcity 2000, without the relevant millennium being anything to do with the game or near the release date

    Sid Meier's Pirates!

it tells you the lead designer's name (Sid Meier)
    what it's about (Pirates)
and it sets the tone as not all that serious (exclamation mark)

it's a fun title, and a really fun game

    • Dark Souls series - amazing series, people tend to hate on DS2 but it had some of the best DLC's as well as some cool mechanics like NG+ having real differences compared to normal run which made me want to play it through more than once.
    • The BInding of Isaac - It was my go-to game to play while listening to music, podcasts, or watching esports on the second monitor. It's surprisingly chill but the amount of content that is included with all the expansions is really overwhelming especially if you want to unlock all of it.
    • Sleeping Dogs - It's the GTA formula but scaled-down and more focused. The city is gorgeous, the gameplay is super fun since the combat for the most part avoids guns and is more focused on melee fighting. You play as an undercover cop but tbh I don't remember the plot that well.

    Castlevania, Symphony of the Night

I'm pretty sure the "Symphony of the Night" part might be a line from one of the many Dracula books. But all my quick searches to verify just bring up Castlevania video game stuff instead of Bram Stoker's "Dracula".

    OH!

I just remembered an old NES title called "Snake, Rattle, and Roll". Its a fun and puny title for a very hard but bright and upbeat game.

The Castlevania games with subtitles are always great. Nocturne in the Moonlight, Rondo of Blood, Aria of Sorrow
