Nice to see r/TPUSA taking a positive turn after standing up to the “tankies”.

Imagine shitting on one of the few good things to come from Tucker Carlson’s mouth because the same folks who brought you Iraq and Libya pulled the “democracy” card.

I’d preface my argument with “Fuck Putin but…” if it didn’t undermine it. The problem is that both the Libs and Cons are now lockstep with each other over military adventurism to revitalize the decaying empire, so if Lefties so much as concedes anything to the effect of “Russia bad”, it makes them sound like spineless, “treasonous” wimps while the Libs/Cons are the ones taking action. The exact same thing happened when Trump iced Soleimani (only the Libs were on the anti-war side because Drumpf).

Instead, I just question people where Ukraine is located and why we have clusters of bases around the area.

This is funny because people going overseas to fight for leftist causes get charged with terrorism and shit when they come home to Five Eyes nations.

But compared to Russia it may as well be a libertarian's wet dream.

Lots to unpack there, but it is true in the sense that it is a centre of child prostitution

Tucker is a deluded idiot, who wants the military to not "waste" their time abroad maintaining the empire, because there are so many enemies at home. So Tucker is more like the isolationists of the early 20th century than anything else. Tucker is also a fascist, but that goes for almost every media-figure on the right.

Those people were right...the US never should have built an empire. It's spending itself to death, it's murdering millions across the globe, and Americans can't even have things like healthcare and free college - all of which would be easily solved if not for unchecked military spending. The US is sending weapons to literal neo nazis in Ukraine as we speak.

The thing is that the United States idea of "isolationism" was just staying out of Europe and the old world. They had no problem continuing with their imperialism in Central America and the Caribbean.

Obviously you are right in that America as an Empire has been incredibly bad for the world, and in particular for the Global South, however I just wanted to point out that Tucker isn't an anti-imperialist because of those reasons, but instead because he wants to take colonial relations and bring them home. And I shudder to think what his version of America looks like, because it's probably gonna be REAL fucking grim.
