Isn't Nandos explicitly not very british in its way of cooking? I mostly remember getting some mildly spicy chicken when I went there, but even that had a lot of them hemming and hawing.
I mean technically you're right, there aren't any British fast food chains in the US, unless you count Pret-a-manger. Funnily enough, I think Leon's would do well here, but only in large urban areas in a handful of states.

There are Nandos in the US, they're are like five in Chicago that I know of.
