If the UK had a singer who was the equivalent of Meatloaf would he be called Shepherds Pie or Toad-in-the-hole?
I felt like being silly so I made the thumbnail stargazy pie.
Stargazy pie (sometimes called starrey gazey pie, stargazey pie and other variants) is a Cornish dish made of baked pilchards (sardines), along with eggs and potatoes, covered with a pastry crust. Although there are a few variations using other types of fish, the unique feature of stargazy pie is fish heads (and sometimes tails) protruding through the crust, so that they appear to be gazing to the stars.
Nandos could never. Imagine trying to compete with KFC on their home turf.
American KFC is meh compared to European and Asian.
At least from 5+ years ago when I was travelling.
Isn't Nandos explicitly not very british in its way of cooking? I mostly remember getting some mildly spicy chicken when I went there, but even that had a lot of them hemming and hawing.
There are Nandos in the US, they're are like five in Chicago that I know of.
I mean technically you're right, there aren't any British fast food chains in the US, unless you count Pret-a-manger. Funnily enough, I think Leon's would do well here, but only in large urban areas in a handful of states.
