“The Nazi Totenkopf is one very specific graphic design of a skull and crossbones,” Pitcavage says. “And the monkey skull resembles it in no way except insofar as all skulls resemble each other to a certain degree.”

Pitcavage also points out that the Nazis were by no means the first to adopt the Totenkopf — and, in fact, the version used by the Waffen-SS (the combat branch of the Nazi party’s SS organization) predates the Nazi party entirely. “It dates back to the Prussian military, way before Adolf Hitler was even born,” he says.

Ackshually it’s ok to use swastikas because they’re Buddhist symbols, which is obviously the only connotation that they have nowadays

I mean yeah, in certain contexts. In significant parts of the world they pretty much exclusively have that connotation still, the Nazis didn't really affect it that much. But yeah, if you're in the Americas or Europe cut that shit out obviously lol

There is no similarity, and if there is it's very minor, and even if it does resemble it its fine because it isn't a Nazi symbol anyway.

And I mean, just look at their “art”, it’s very reminiscent of Siminization and old school racist depictions of blacks as monkeys to dehumanize them, just as the nazis did for Jews and rats.

Holy shit those fuckin apes are uncomfortable to look at, if that's true and the reason why that's extremely fucked up.

There was a point where I was gathering up crypto wallet addresses from fash forums and browsing the blockchains for transactions. With the amount of money flowing through that network, I have no doubt that there are some militias and propaganda networks who are sustaining funding from the NFT “boom”

this is a very good project and I hope you have all that saved somewhere.

some of those fash idiots are going to wind up running for office or trying to infilitrate orgs in 10 years and still be using the same crypto wallets.

Every single ADL article reads like this:

"Here is an undeniable reference to Nazi imagery, if you see this you can know 100% that this guy is a Nazi... but context is important. You can't know for certain if someone using this symbol is a Nazi."

Antisemitism according to ADL: accurately describing Israel's ongoing ethnic cleansing in Palestine

Not antisemitism according to ADL: using literal Nazi imagery

This is why it's extra funny. These motherfuckers would raise hell to destroy Palestine activists, they openly declared just boycotting Israel is antisemitism, but look how their mental gymnastics to justify this.

sounds like Pitcavage has an explanation for why sniping Palestinian children from 300 meters is very necessary

I only just learned the yacht club thing isn't just a cheeky name. A very uncouth stranger was persuading me to buy NFTs by claiming they offer celebrity yacht clubs as a prize, like when you go to Subway sandwiches 10 times. I can't have healthcare but I can pay $200k for a jpg of a monkey and 30 seconds in the presence of a twitch streamer.
