This is why I feel it's important to consume some utopian left content. The end goal (classless, stateless, moneyless) is the same, we're just trying to figure out the best way to get there.

God you're so right. Like as someone who still thinks of themselves as anarchist it's like well duh I'm closer to ML then fucking libertarian or facists.

Like ML and anarchists agree on alot. I share essentially no practical beliefs with any libertarian.

I honestly didn't think Sectarianism from the erased "internet stuff". I just thought of the strawman PolComp brains like to imagine LibLeft is.

If you dont even have the gumption to call yourself an anarchist or a socialist and insist on rehabbing a term like libertarianism into the left then I think you shouldn't be greeted as a comrade honestly. We shouldnt be making up words to pretend or hide what we want: the abolition of private property.

Right, and no one of any historical significance on the left has used it since then. Why would you? If your politics are that consumed by optics you arnt even a :libertarian-approaching:, youre just a :LIB:

Always disappointing to see so many begin to reject the culturally hegemonic framing that there is no alternative to capitalism but fall on the last hurdle before realizing the same forces are what are convincing you that there is no alternative to the state.

As Made Up Internet Person, this is sectarianism against me. I am NOT an anarchist OR a pedophile!

I get the argument but my only experiences with genzedong are seeing their users glibly claim left anarchism isn't real in other subs then retreat back to genzedong and get massively upvoted for retelling their tales of dunking on people telling them left anarchism exists. so i'm pretty sure whoever posted this to genzedong knew their audience and didn't need to elucidate on their commonly shared belief

The political spectrum is indeed bullshit but the whole compass isn't greyed out as made up internet stuff, the choices give away the intent of the author. Clumsily crossing out the word authoritarian also does not delete the cultural context, we all know what the author thinks "really wanting it" means.

Yeah, but anarchists have a whole discourse about the ethical deployment of violence and they call that discourse anti authoritarianism.

This is pretty clearly anti anarchist

Yeah, libertarian anti authoritarianism is about private vs state control, while anarchist authoritarianism is about when it's acceptable to be violent and how to hold revolutionaries accountable and things like that. They're just incongruous and representing them as a single axis is incoherent.

That said, it's one of the main differences between anarchists and MLs and I think it's inappropriate to erase that.

tbh, my own experience of lurking a lot is that anarchists seem to prefer centrist libs to tankies. Or at least a lot of people who call themselves anarchists.
