    twitter, reddit and facebook

There's your mistake, you're scrolling through the unironically worst places on the internet. Retreat to somewhere less "important"/relevent/whatever: tumblr, something awful, a fucking skyrim forum. Read some fanfiction.

The internet's great, but the bigger and more "real" a site gets, the more it gets overrun by chuds and libs and boomers. The ultimate defense against that is furry porn, shitposting and piracy. The rule is: the more repelling that site and it's content is to advertisers, the better your experience there will be.

maybe try out open alternatives like mastodon, you can join a leftist instance and branch out from there. I thought the same before I broke away, my life has gotten much better since I ditched twitter and facebook.

Just the website you end up using to make your account on, think of it like choosing something like gmail or protonmail. You can still interact with people no matter which you choose, though some may block certain instances (like mose instances block fascist instances) but that usually won't get in your way. Your account also only works on one but you can migrate your follows likes and followers if you need.

Thanks for your reply! Cool, so it seems like you'd more or less stick to one instance? Or would you bounce around like subreddits?

It depends but usually it's best to settle down into one, I used to use a really big instance but I eventually moved to cybre.space because I liked the ui and some people I followed were there. When it comes to interacting with people it's almost never a conscious thing, they just look like accounts all the same.

Interesting, seems a bit more complicated than what I'm used to but I've wanted to try Mastodon since the Tumblr exodus a while back because I thought most blogs would move elsewhere. Never really got the hang of it back then, but I'll give it a try now, thank you for the help!

Wait--is this where all the chapo interest in furry porn comes in? I've been genuinely curious, but haven't wanted to ask and make anyone feel uncomfortable about it.

firstly, biden isn't anywhere near cool enough to give furries rights, and also you might like to know that this specific type of wreking doesn't really work for a lot of people because that's just a line of ASCII boxes to me :/

I keep getting irrationally angry at how fucking racist and useless all the white libs in r/madisonwi are through the mounting protests. They're so fucking angry about property damage and their dumb fucking statues, not to mention never understanding the points made by the local civil rights orgs. I don't know why I'm still listening to these pearl clutching shitheels in this dumb shithole town, but I am, so I'm here to run away from it for a bit.

Not me. I want him in prison. He spent his whole life fantasizing about sending people there. It's only fitting he should get to experience what he hoped to inflict onto others.

I do absolutely think our prison system is barbaric, but I can morally justify and an exception for the people who want to subject others to those horrors.

The boy is baby faced, dummy thicc, and barely legal. For every prison rape or abuse joke he almost certainly made with the other future jackboots in blue lives hitler youth camp, let him get a first-hand sense of the punchline. See if he thinks it's funny then. I wish they could put his parents away, too. They're the ones who raised him in a fucking hate cult. Who told him it was not only okay, but good and that he would be a hero. 🤢 Do they really believe that shit? I think they know they are the baddies.

I don't know how I put up with reddit that long. I think it was making me insane and I didn't know it.

It's kinda weird when people realize that the fucker would deserve anything he got, but they can't find any, to them, acceptable reasons why they would think so.

They know that the fucker came there with the desire to kill people, to wage the little war he'd psyched himself up for for so long, and he found the trouble he sought by his own effort.

But they are caught up in the self defence angle. In who the people fighting him were. The videos coming out. His legal right to own and carry his rifle. Whether he crossed a state line with it illegally.

And by belaboring those points they seem like petty little wannabe tyrants obsessed with the rule of law.

When in reality, all that matter is that he came seeking death, and sadly, didn't find his own.

Remember that one thing that sets us apart from chuds is empathy. The leftist movement has empathy for people and that includes all people. This kid included. He is a victim of his own environment and its clear to see. At the same time I agree that he did some horrible things. But what is him getting got going to achieve? It wont bring the killed people back. At least in prison he might learn something, contemplate, even contribute to the common good. Of course that will never make up for the lives lost, and I agree with you about what will happen if he gets off.

He has national media figures on the right deifying him into a crusading hero who should be the next president. He's not going to have a epiphany in prison that turns him into an anti-racist pacifist. He's going to be a millionaire podcaster with a reality show on TLC.

Hopefully not. But here the problem is bigger than this kid. We dont know if he will have an epiphany or not, or if he will be a millionaire podcaster or not. He will have these if the system wins and continues propping him up. If he is dead, the system will find someone else, and we will have yet another corpse on the pile.

According to Jonathan Haidt, leftists appreciate fairness and caring, while conservatives appreciate sanctity, authority, and loyalty.
