Sports was the last thing keeping me on reddit, but the discussion got so garbage everywhere that I eventually punched out.

Reddit sports subs are an unholy marriage of twitter and sports radio callers. Every loss is "fire everyone, the sky is falling," and every win is half reprieve, half "we still should fire someone and this player sucks." Just exhausting.

Before I stopped using Reddit I got multiple "rEdDiT cArES" messages even after I asked them to stop sending them to me. No idea which comment it was for

i got a bunch of these once for posting a lukewarm video game take (knew it was that comment bc i only commented on things like once a week)

people mass report your post for discussion of self-harm to trigger it. it's the tos approved way to tell someone to die, basically. the funniest part is it presumes you're from the US, which I'm not, so even if i actually wanted to call a hotline it would be useless.

Doesn't have to be for any particular comment. When you piss of libs, it's a common tactic for them to hit that particular report reason. The rest is automated.

last time I used :reddit-logo: was like pre-covid and I got my account nuked for suggesting that the homes of white nationalists should be burned down. decided I didn't really like reddit anyway.

what i found more annoying about reddit is it would just silently hide your posts from other people if you used too many links from anti-american news sources. so even if it was earnestly taking the debatebro route that reddit loves so much and arguing with facts and reason and logic and sources, and not doing the ad hominem attacks, and yada yada, my effort would be awarded with nobody being able to see my post but me

I had that happen to me with a bunch of links of V*ush saying all kinds of pedo shit, reddit always hid the comment whenever I posted it. Shit was so annoying.

Immediately right after Christchurch, I started catching bans for "endorsing violence" against Nazis and Zionists on social media, lol.

Fast forward to today, 6 Reddit and 10 Twitter accounts perm-banned, with one even under criminal investigation apparently. Half of my social media bans come after 7 October
