Nazis think that if you kill a Muslim with a pork fat bullet then they don't go to paradise because Islam considers pigs unclean. As you'd expect from Nazis, it's based on a gross oversimplification and misunderstanding of Islam, and it's a trope that's been around since at least the Iraq War.

But wouldn't a Christian Nazi believe Muslims didn't go to heaven, no matter what?

You know how Catholic used to believe that unbaptized babies go to purgatory until recently? Seems like the same kind of thinking.

pedantic ex-Catholic voice Actually, the unbaptized babies were supposed to go to limbo, not purgatory, which is worse. In purgatory you can work off your sins and eventually get into heaven; in limbo you are just stuck for all eternity doing nothing. That's the horrifying bit that the Church no longer officially endorses

Of course they don't want to get shot and killed, but making them think they'll be damned and killed might make them more reluctant to fight . That's what I think the logic was

Except no Muslim would fall for that, it’s not a sin if a haram substance is forced into your body by kinetic force against your will.

              It’s just an islamophobic signal.

According to a friend of mine the trope has been around for a very, very long time (though with swords before the development of firearms). Unfortunately I can't find any information on it - my searches are mainly turning up stuff about the twitter post
