Damn, didn't know it came from that. Also that kid fucking deserves the bows like fuck
Actual Doctor Manhattan: "A live body and a dead body contain the same amount of particles."
Lib Doctor Manhattan: "Omg Zelensky, so hecking wholesome, I bow to you kind sir"
Yeah, big "Tell me you missed the entire point of Watchmen without telling me you missed the entire point of Watchmen" vibes here
This is definitely peak lib, drawing fictitious comic book heroes bowing as if to show reverence instead of, you know, doing anything.
Yes, I'm aware they're fictional, but this is why it is peak lib; even in their fantasies here, they can't have anything ACTUALLY happen. Superman isn't yeeting people into orbit, just meekly 'paying his respects' to Zelensky and the (potential) Azov battalion wanker behind him.
Superman would evacuate every civilian and then yeet every weapon being used into the sun, physically kidnap all world leaders and make them come up with a diplomatic solution. Superman is a reasonable dude who gets shit done.
This post made me want to write Superman comics. It would be based as fuck and just be Superman going around helping people and making shit better and that's it.

They don't even have the decency to use real people, because... who would you even use? Joe Biden? Dan Crenshaw? George Soros? Queen Elizabeth? They're all too unpopular.
Superheroes are all Americans universally recognize as "good" anymore.
Reminds me of the quip some Iranian official made after the US assassinated a general of theirs a couple years back, Soleimani. Something along the lines of not knowing who they would kill that would have a similar effect, because all of America's heroes are fictional (or long dead)
I mean, they could blow up the Twin Towers and kill a bunch of old rich white dudes. I bet that would have a similar impact.
I mean it should be understood: this is almost definitionally what Superheroes were invented to do....or at least what they were appropriated to do not long after their invention. To be fair Siegel and Shuster orignally saw Superman as fighting against exploitation and abusive factory owners and that sort of thing but it was World War II and propaganda efforts that really cemented him and all American superheroes following him as pro American miltary propaganda and even when they pay minor lip service to critiquing the military they absolutely never stopped being that. Its one of the things that makes the Boys critique of the medium so on point.
If it makes anyone feel better, it's a small edit of a picture for healthcare workers during covid. They just drew the soldier and Zelensky.
This is exactly how modern fascist propaganda looks like; we might laugh, yet it works wonderfully.
Most of these characters have worked for (or are) far bigger assholes than Zelensky so this kind of tracks
I was surprised that most of the comments were calling it cringe. I guess there is a bit of hope left.
Damn something happening here is interesting as fuck and it’s not the picture.
