The GOP attempted to make a clean break from Santos by nominating Pilip, a county legislator who was born in Ethiopia, moved to Israel and served in its military, and immigrated to New York in 2005. Little-known before this race, Republicans spent more than $6 million in advertising that told her story and blamed Suozzi and Democrats for the wave of migrants bussed in by red-state governors since Biden took office.
I've been seeing the ads for this race and if you need any more proof of the descent into fascism in America you won't find a better example. The GOP accuses Suozzi of being an open borders lib and he goes "Oh yeah?!?! Watch this!". One of his ads has a clip of him on Fox News being one of the few Dems that voted to increase funding for ICE.
Fuck all of these people.
The Republicans job is to push the country right and the Democrats job is to justify it. Same as it always was

I would once again like to remind everyone that ARs and similar rifles are used in a few hundred murders a year while handguns are used in tens of thousands. The democrats switch from handguns to ARs after years of trying to push firearms control using handguns as their focus failed miserably.
It's just a regional thing. In New York, AR15s are banned (Google featureless rifles for a laugh) so they're now the Big Scary Gun that Democrats talk about
