They do, when Dave Rubin had Ben Shapiro on his dumb ass show, he asked if Ben would attend a hypothetical wedding between him and his partner (in an attempt to show that Shapiro isn't homophobic and kinda goading Shapiro to answer in the affirmative) and Ben Shapiro basically said no because he doesn't agree with gay marriage.
Dave kinda just glossed over it, and I can't believe this fucking slug has a husband who looked at that clip and didn't immediately divorce his fucking ass if he can't even defend the fucking validity of their relationship to someone as inconsequential as Ben.

Mayo Pete basically ignored his partner the entire campaign, and some of the stuff detailing his life made it seem like he only tolerates the other guy (the exceptions being when Pete was trotting out stuff to be the token gay liberal)

Don't forget that he desperately wants to believe this, because he's a successful grifter making bank, and if he stopped that then wtf would he do? All of his friends and connections would turn on him in an instant and his income would disappear overnight.
It's kind of a pitiable situation, but it's also entirely his own fault. I'd be inclined to forgive him if he had a redemption arc, but as it is he can fuck off.
Is it? I remember Ben Shapiro used the correct pronouns for Blaire White when he interviewed her because her politics aligned with his. Reactionaries are great at holding contradictory ideals and can easily promote someone like Dave to act as a shield against claims of homophobia.
